Misao is a free indie Japanese RPG developed by Level-5, who are behind the successful NIS America series and the PSP versions of many of their most popular games. Misao is an adventure and mystery role-playing game with RPG elements set in Japan, where you follow the story of a young girl named Misao, who has mysteriously disappeared in mysterious circumstances.
The game is available in both a Windows version and a mobile download format for Android, iPhone and iPad. I am sure you can see why this game is so popular right? It's a great story, a great visual style, and a great story with great graphics and sound effects. And unlike many other Japanese role-playing games, Misao does not rely heavily on Japanese voices (though there is some English language voice acting available).
Free downloads of Misao can be found through Google Play, the Apple App Store, as well as a variety of other free file sharing sites. However, the Android version requires you to download an application called "Osu Downloader" in order to be able to play the game on your Android device.
